Hand Description:
The writing resembles that used in the tenth century. The head marks, although close to the character, sometimes stand out slightly. The ra’s are in a single-haste form. There is also an alternation between the subscript ra oriented inwards and outwards, testifying to a form of cursiveness despite the regularity of the whole.

Although the foundation mentionned is dated from 817 Śaka (895/896 CE), the inscription is posterior. Indeed, the longest eulogy mentions the king Harṣavarman I, successor of Yaśovarman, whose reign began around 910 AD.
We added Claude Jacques’ sanskrit translation and Saveros Pou’s khmer translation, whose expertise on Old Khmer is assured, despite some reading mistakes mentionned in the apparatus.
The stela contains four lines on face B (l. B24-B27), three lines on face C (l. C. 26-C28) and two lines on face D (l. D30-D31) that are not part of the original inscriptions, but posterior additions. There are to be encoded as an independant inscription.
First edited by Claude Jacques (1970: pages 68–89). The khmer part was re-edited by Saveros Pou (2011: pages 79–96). Re-edited here by Salomé Pichon based on EFEO estampage n. 1293, and taking into account the thesis results of Dominique Soutif.
