Commentary

The editor states that the inscription is [u]nintelligible1948, page 332: but does not make clear how big the missing parts might be (confer line 2). The number of missing characters follows the number of dots in the edition.

The inscription was noted in A. R. No. 396 of 1904 and first edited by J. Ramayya Pantulu without translation and picture (1948: page 332, № 603). K. M. Sastri re-edited this edition and provided a summary of the content: Refers to the endowment of a tank. A Cōḻamahādēvi is mentionedSastri 1969, page 333.
