Commentary

The name seems to be uncommon. It consists of the two Sanskrit elements dāya- ’gift’ and arcita- ’praised’ with the Telugu suffix -nṟu, hence ’the one praised for (his) gifts’, if it wasn’t meant to denote dayārcita- ’the one praised for (his) compassion’.
