    Commentary

    The name was found on a beam in the verandah of the seventh cave temple at BhairavakoṇḍaRamayya Pantulu 1948, page 19. The nature of the name (≈ “holy man of the mountain (perh. Himalaya)" may rather point towards a high ranking religious person who visited the place than towards a craftsman who worked there; he might, however, have been a donor as well.
