Hail! Prosperity! In the 5th year of the increasing victorious reign of Pōrmukharāma Puṇyakumāra Prithivīvallabha Chōḻamahārāja, (queen) Vasantipōṟi-Chōḻamahādēvī gave to the people of the flower garden (pūlla-vaṭṭam) in the (temple of) Vasantīśvara in Tārumunṟu, land of the extent of three hundred (mattars?) by the royal measure including two gardens in the field belonging to Viripaṟu, Māṟpiḍugu Raṭṭaguḷḷu being the āṇati (i. e. Ājñapti). He who destroys this gift (incurs the sin of) killing 1000 Brāhmaṇas at Vārāṇasi (Benares). The black-smith (kammari) of Gaṭṭu-Viripaṟu, Viniyaṇa, wrote this.
Hail! Prosperity! In the 5th year of the increasing victorious reign of Puṇyakumāra prithivīvallabha Cōḻa mahārāja (who is) a Rāma in battlefield, (queen) Vasantipōṟi Cōḻamahādēvī gave to the people of the flower garden (pūlla-vaṭṭam) in the (temple of) Vasantīśvara in Tārumunṟu, land of the extent of three hundred (mattars?) by the royal measure including two gardens in the field belonging to Viripaṟu, Māṟpiḍugu Raṭṭaguḷḷu being the executor (āṇati) of the grant. He who destroys this gift incurs the sin of killing one thousand brahmins at Vārāṇasi. The black-smith (kammari) of Gaṭṭu-Viripaṟu, Viniyaṇa, wrote this.
The inscription was noted in A. R. No. 384 of 1904 and first published by J. Ramayya Pantulu in 1948: pages 329–330, № 599 with few metadata and without translation. It was re-edited and translated by K. A. Nilakanta Sastri and M. Venkataramayya in 1947-1948: pages 234–236, № 42G with a plate. K. M. Sastri reprints Nilakanta Sastri’s and M. Venkataramayya’s edition and provides another translation (1969: page 289, № 13).
