1 kumārar ◇ S; kumārā SII
1-5 When I, the illustrious Mahāmaṇḍalīśvaran (lord of a large territory), Arirāyavibhāṭan (destroyer of enemy kings), Bhāṣaikkuttapumrāyakaṇṭaṉ (the punisher of kings who breaks their promise or disobey royal orders), Mūvarāyarakaṇṭaṉ (the vanquisher of the three kings), and Catusamudrādipati (the ruler over the four oceans), śrī-Viruppaṇṇa uṭaiyar, the son of śrī-Hariyaṇṇa uṭaiyar, am pleased to rule over the earth, on Friday, the 3rd day of the bright fortnight of the month of Makara when the asterism Śataiyam was current, of the year Vibhava of the expired Śaka year 1310↓1, I learned the news that till this day, Atikai alias Puvanēkavīraccaturvvētimaṅkalam alias Kamparāyacaturvvētimaṅkalam in the eastern part of Āṭaiyūr-nāṭu which was a tax-free sarvvamānya given previously by means of a stone-record, as a śrāddha-vṛtti (land to provide for expenses of death anniversary) for Kampaṇa uṭaiyar to provide for the addhyayana (recitation of the Vedas) at the service called Rājavibhāṭan-canti to the god Tiruvaṇṇāmalai uṭaiya nāyinār, by my elder brother Jammaṇṇa uṭaiyar, was included in the group of Akarappaṟṟu [lands] and [so] was paying rakṣābhōgam levy.
5-7 I [now] order that from this day [this village] should be removed from the group of Akaram lands and should be eliminated from the registers; that Tiruvaṇṇāmalainampi, Tirucciṟṟampalamnampi, Vīravētiyanampi, Irājagambhīranampi and Kauśikan Aḻakiyār Irāmanātatēvar should share the five shares amongst them; that one should perform adhyayanam daily at the service called Irāyavibhāṭan-canti; that for this it was made tax-free sarvamānya to last as long as the moon and the sun endure and [that it was] given inscribed on stone. This is protected by the Paṉmāheśvaras.
