1–2 (o/e) /[(ṭṭ/ḻ)ā](va)tu • Three different readings are possible for the regnal year: 61st (Āṟupatt’ oṉṟāvatu), 67th (Āṟupatt’ ēḻāvatu), and 68th (Āṟupatt’ eṭṭāvatu). In ARIE, the reading 69th is suggested, but there is not enough space on the stone to accomodate
three characters in the gap and obtain Āṟupatt’ oṉpatāvatu.
2 mi(l/y)i-vaḻi • The reading is mīlvaḻi according to ARIE. It is possible that mēl-vaḻi is meant.
5 [?4+] _ [?6+] • The upper part of the headdress of the left-hand figure (represented below the
inscription on the stele) comes between these two lacunae.
1-2 Sixty- ... year of the victorious king Nandīśvara.
2-5 [This is] the stone of ... having gone ... , the son of Ammaṇiyaṉār, ... of Malaiyāṉūr in Mi(l/y)ivaḻi in the Ciṅkapuranāṭu.
