    1-2 Nineteenth year of the victorious king Siṁhaviṣṇuvarman↓1.

    3-8 [This is the] stone of Pila[yācata]ṅkaḷ of the Puyanāṭu who went [in] battle (pūcal) [and] fell fighting, while Ciṟuppaṭuvāṉār, a relative (makkaḷ) [of] Pālāyiriyar, who rules (āḷum) [in] Ciṟuppāl, seized cattle [at] Karuṅkālippāṭi.

    Commentary

    Pālāyiriyar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl = Pālācirikar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl (INSPallava406) = Pālāciriru, the ruler of Ciṟuppāḻ (INSPallava409).
