    1-2Tirthy-ninth [year] of the victorious king Mahendravarman↓1.

    3-9 [This is] the stone [of] Nandin, the son of Vattāvaṉ ¿[and]? ¿the younger son? (iḷa-makaṉ) of Nākkaiyār, he who fell fighting (eṟintu) when Poṟṟokkaiyār ¿[and]? ¿the people? (maru-makkaḷ) [of] the royal Bāṇa king marched (vanta↓2) ¿[with]? the army [of] Cakkaravar upon Pōntai ¿[in] carukk-irunta-Ūr?.
