    Commentary

    The lack of context hinders the identification of the Pallava Mahendravarman. But paleography could help when comparing with similar labels (see INSPallava00488-00489). Observe and compare the shape of the characters śa and ga. See ARIE argument (p. 54) and others (IP, SRB).
